Has anyone ever flown for WildernessNorth? They are advertising for a pilot/couple to run one of their lodges. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them and what a person could expect if they took such a job.

So, I see they are looking for a couple to run the operation... they must be looking for a woman to fly/operate the airplanes and the guy to stay home and man the camp....

It is the same company, based at Waweig lake near Armstrong. They are planning to build another base in Tbay.
They had a non-flying couple running the lodge on Whitewater lake in the past. Alan wants to base a T-Otter pilot and wife or husband there, and there will be lots of work to do. The fishermen want to be airborne at sunrise so the breakfast and shore lunch has to be done before 5.
It will be real hard work during June and July as there will be more non-scheduled days off from August.
Alan is a super nice guy to work for. He's a hard worker himself, he's smart and expects the same output from his staff. He'll always be first on the dock to help the drivers way before sunrise.
Getting up at 6:30 means you have slept in. The trick for not exceeding your max duty time is a split shift. You'll have to nap a couple hours in the afternoon and you'll be all fine. Not much time for more than "a cold one" after work but the freeze-up party might knock you off for a several days.

All I mean is that one is gonna work his ass over there but it can be rewarding. They will understand more when they meet Jack in Oskosh. That is awesome when it happens, just beyond imagination, betcha.
