Hiring age

Post by Black Toe »

Does anybody know the approx. average age that the main line and Jazz are hiring at these days. Also is there an age that they tend to look past your resume thinking you're too old?

Thanks in advance!

well - i'm 34 now, 3800TT - all on King Airs - they didn't bring up the age thing at the interview - they did say that average age of pilots at jazz is 43.

i didn't start flying commercially til i was 28. I've hear guys as old as 45 get called - so who knows how much they take it into account.

Cheers

Well im 29, and the guy they interviewd after me was at least 45. I don't think age is a factor.

AC lost an age discrimination suit years ago......age is "supposed" to no longer be a factor when considering an applicant
