Float endorsement on Recreational license

Is it true you can get a float endorsement on a recreational's license. Saw that on Air Hart's site but no where else.

Yes, very true.
401.38 The Minister shall endorse the following permits and licences with an aeroplane class rating if the applicant for the rating meets the requirements referred to in Section 401.06:

(a) private pilot licence - aeroplane;

(b) commercial pilot licence - aeroplane;

(c) airline transport pilot licence - aeroplane; and

(d) pilot permit - recreational - aeroplane.

ok, then, what's the average airspeed of a fully-laden swallow?
African or European?
