HeliJet at YVR Saturday

Post by F-16 »

Heard the boys had to come in without the nose gear, put it down nicely on the centreline, everyone walked away.

Worked with the boys and girls there, and while no one wants to see any incidents/accidents, great show today, I raise my beer to a job well done.

One thing I didn't hear was the reg... was it the old westex machine or the newer one?

Cheers.

WOW! Just looked at the footage on the news....it was nice...shut down the engines before touchdown...held the nose up until it had to drop...minimal damage.....it was sweet

Here is the video from CTV's site, just scroll down to the Title " BC Plane Forced to make emrg. Ldg", and click on the video icon. Them boys done good. I wonder if that had anything to do with the new AD that came out for the nose gear on the 200?

Enjoy

funny thing in the article...it mentions at the beggining that there were 2 pilots and 2 paramedics onboard....but at the end says that due to the calmness of the 2 PARAMEDICS there was no injuries and minimal damage.....hmm.

Hey Edo!

You're not alone. I knew they had fixed wings, but I was still picturing the S-76. I was also thinking WTF? An S-76 coming in without a nosewheel is about as news worthy as a B-52 coming in on only seven engines! Good job by the crew though, glad everything went well

Good Job!
