Calm Air in MB

Post by jcem »

Does anyone know if Calm Air has any ties with Air Canada? They used to be 47% owned by Canadian Airlines, but what happened after Canadian was taken over by AC? I've heard rumours AC offers Calm Air employees ID90's...

um...Unless something new is in the works, there is no connection to AC. Yes, they get passes, but so do several dozen smaller airlines in the country.

I believe Air Canada and Calm Air have changed their arangement a few times since Canadian left us. When I was in Thompson, Air Canada was buying a number of seats on the Saab between YTH and YWG. Now, a quick check of the Air Canada website shows Thompson on the map, but neither Air Canada, Jazz, or an Air Canada partner airline going there. Perhaps, other then interline agreements, there is no connection anymore.
