I've talked to them down at Sunwest (YYC) and they said they almost never hire from the ramp.

Nothing is written in stone but if you have the right attitude and really want the flying job there is no reason you cant move from the ramp to a seat. If you come in expecting somthing you wont get it!

westcoast has always hired from the dock when they could.....i was hired off the dock....but things have changed year to year...and so its off and on weather they could or not. I know that they do when they can. They are very up front about where you stand....min one year on the ramp...and at your annual review...they tell you weather you're up to snuff.... Good group there.

I worked the Dock at WCA a few yrs ago. They treated me well when I was there and they were honest and straight up. I enjoyed my time at WCA.

Sounds good but what are the pre-recs, and time on ramp? I've also been wondering about the cost of living?
