Pilots or passengers of competing companies passing through or using Twa's washrooms / pay phones or havin a coffee with the guys are now being charged a 100's plus GST.
Manager's up North have been instructed from the Head of Dept's down south to issue these charges. Most companies would be willing to return the favor, but probably don't need the revenue as bad as they do.
Any comments, or do we have to wait to receive the first bill????
It's not the 35 cents I am worried about, it's using the pay phone to file a flight plan, which is owned by Sasktel, and being charged 100$ to be doing so.
are you saying that by using the payphone in their terminal, and had some coffee with some of the boys, a 100 dollar charge was sent your way? Yikess,.. I knew that they were sucking wind in SK, due to their inherent lack of care, and lack of punctuality, but I never thought that they would charge someone for sitting in the terminal,..sad sad case
Not sure what anyone else thinks here but, everytime I've ever pulled into an FBO where ya get ramp, fuel, coffee, facilites, etc....Theres usually a fee involved no matter where ya go. Besides, its not like your having to foot the bill are you?? Or is it the company who pays for it?? And after all, considering that its their terminal, their washrooms, (maybe not the phone), their bill for everything.....I think they can charge at least something! $100 sounds a little steep though!

Why Fly Right Side Up, When You Can Fly Upside Down
I don't think that Westwind deserves all the negativity that it gets, especially from TWA employees. I work for Transwest and I know that it is substancial. So maybe "the enemy" is taking some of our buisness but in the end we are all pilots and someday may be working for that company.
