Does Georgian hire direct entry captains for the 1900? I have 1900 PIC experience.

Nope, not right now. Maybe in the future, but that would depend on them exhausting their options with all FO's in the company. It would require that there are no FO's with their ATPL's and 500 hours on type. It' not impossible for that to happen, but somewhat improbable.

That would explain all those HPN overnights. A quick trip to the city early in the morning, tape a "stunt double" episode of Anderson Cooper 360, back to the hotel, just in time for the ride back to the airport.
