yow commute

Hi all,

I was wondering if any WJ'er out there commuting out of YOW. How easy is it to commute to YYC? How many nights do you need to spend in a hotel before your pairing starts?

Any info on when the YYZ port system will be available??

Also, having a tough time establishing if there are any other crew bases that yyc. I know , I know ......

Just thought I'd ask because it must be so obvious that no one needs to post the info....

I thought somebody would have chimed in here but I'll tell you what I know. I think a YOW to YYZ commute would be dead easy. I think you'll see a YYZ port check-in at YYZ before the end of the year. For getting to Calgary, the YOW-YYC directs are limited since a lot of YOW flying goes via YYZ. I think if you are more than 2 hours away from YYC there is a higher chance you will end up needing a hotel for some early check-in's or late finishes... unless you are good at trading them off.

There are some WJ pilots commuting from YOW, if you can find out who they are you'll probably get much better information.
