What's new at ACE?

Post by loopy »

What's new at ACE? I heard they have a new contract or contracts and are getting ready to train some new people.

How mant '27's have they got now and are they adding to the fleet?

Are they out of Pearson now, or Hamilton?

Any info on $ for sideways, cojo and capitano?

Any info appreciated. Cheers.

Pratt responded:

They are operating some cargo flights for Air Canada, that started on June 01, I don't know how much flying it is, but it must be helping them, they haven't been doing alot of flying in Canada recently.

Any other takers?

very good benefits, decent pension...old aircraft
Ace flies to Toledo, YMX (BAX Global), Bermuda-Newark; Cuba, S. America (Cubana), YVR (AC)
Pilots are presently working their tails off...paid overtime, with everchanging rules.
Now looking to fly DC-10's to South America. Wasn't that the VP's promise to the guys back in '97.
Hope it happens for them. Lots of battefield promotions coming there.
Looks like they will be the only Cdn cargo operator to make the heavy step on the int'l stage. My hats off their perservance. Lots of talent left there in the past few years.
