I rescently got a tour of an Antonov (SP) freighter when I was over in Africa. Whow, I knew right away why they required a crew of four. I took me five minutes to confirm I was actually looking at the attitude indicator. LOL but really it was complicated. The funny thing was the handheld garmin on the dash.
Wouldn't be suprised if the umpteen fuel tanks don't have something to do with the fact that the -114 is essentially an intercontinental bomber with a passenger cabin instead of a bomb bay.
Here's another pic of a Tu-144 panel. I have no idea what it is or what anything's for, but I bet the switches outlined in red and yellow do cool sh*t.
I got a tour of the antinov cockpit years ago too, and I was floored. There was no free space anywhere in the cockpit. dials and switches crammed into any spot they'd fit. no color anything in the dials, just black and white. friggin crazy!
