Where the hell is everyone?

Post by yak driver »

I'm stuck in a fishing lodge in the NWT, spent 11 days waiting for the damn airplane to show up. On the bright side it's been to wet and windy for the bugs.

Where is everyone else stuck right now?

Where is Yoyoma these days? I haven't seen him around at all.

I'm stuck working my other job to keep occupied. All the oil patch types are too busy with the stoopeede to bother working, so not much charter work going on. At least I don't have to deal with the annual stoopeede air traffic controller shortage at the YEG ACC.

Nice thing about being based out of a fishing lodge with 4 day rotations, lots of american guests coming through that love playing poker. Too bad they aren't better at losing.

No airplane? Bored? What to do... hmm help put together a D6 cat, drink a lot of beer, rebuild a bunch of outboard motors, drink a lot of beer, put new hardwood floor in the lodge.

When all that is done, it comes down to eat till you're tired and sleep till you're hungry.

We are just north of the Sask/manitoba border.

Are you living in a tent with a zillion mosquitoes yet?

p.s. there's water here too... except it's 85 degrees F, salty, and great for boogie boarding after a long flight... 8)
