C-185 Cargo Pod

Post by Redneck_pilot86 »

Hi,

Found these pics on airliners.net. Wondering what anyone can tell me about the cargo pods here? What they are worth, what they can carry, etc.

Try this site. It looks to be the same pod.

That does look to be it, or at least similar. These pods wouldn't increase what you can carry, only where you can stow it, correct? I would think that you would actually lose some weight, due to the weight of the pod.

That's correct Redneck. Too easy to fill that up with 300 lbs, then fill the rest of the a/c forgetting what's in the pod!

Good for keeping the smelly crap out of the passenger compartment though!
