Contracting in Montreal area

Post by Snips »

Hello all. I'm an AME M2 licensed aircraft engineer currently working in the UK. 17 years experience. Canadian Permanent residence status.

Moving to Montreal in November and am contemplating going down the contracting route.

Any of you chaps out there able to tell me what sort of hourly rate I should expect and if there is much of a demand for contractors at the moment. Also, if you could let me know of any good agencies and what sort of tax breaks (if any) there are to be had for the Connie in Canada?

Any info any of you guys could throw my way would be most warmly welcomed, regards.
