When in the next AC equpment bid??????????????/

Post by HappyCamper »

I have a friend trying to get off the EMJ before he finishes training. Anyone have an idea when the next bid is. Can he delay training at all to avoid back to back training cycles. I think he starts class on the 21st.

I'll take his spot if he doesn't want to fly the Emb.

No he can't delay his training and you might want to tell him to suck it up and fly the damn EMJ! Not trying to sound like an A$$hole, but your friend should consider himself lucky, and be happy. If he already has an attitude like that, as a new hire, I would hate to see him in 10-15 years...

Sheesh...

This is great. It's 2006 and your buddy has to ask questions through you - tell him/her to log onto this thing called the internet and get their own info........

Heh, yeah my "buddy" wonders when AC is gonna call him back? They said 4-6 weeks and it's already been 8! My "buddy" is really hoping to get called in for a medical, this limbo is really stressing him out.

UNBELIEVABLE! Tell your "buddy" to be grateful for a break that a lot struggle for so long and end up not getting. Tell him to show some bloody gratitude. Unbeliveable attitude!
p.s. I thought AC was trying really hard to weed out such attitudes during the whole interview process. Guess it's not foolproof.

Well said Nightflight, you pretty much summed up what we were all thinking.
Sorry to see that attitude got through the screening process. It's especially revolting to the ones like me that had to go through all the crap of the last 7 years (Onex,9-11,Keller,CCAA) and see a punk who doesn't see fit to pay his dues for more than a few weeks on the property.
I'm sure he'll make a great pompous arrogant loud mouth captain real soon.

Man o' man! First of all he gets on with a AC, and now he want off the EMJ before he has even flown it? Secondly, no wonder AC has a hard time making money with all the training that goes on. I have heard stries of guys spending the better part of a year in training. Being trained for 3 different types/positions in the same year??

To drag the thread back on topic. Just announced, the next bid will be sometime in Oct. and it will be a reduction bid. Having said that, it's all just a paper exercise anyway. Long term planning = what are we doing today.

The last bid was typical AC:big feel good bid to soften up the membership and then ask for concessions.Didn't work out that way and now the punishment comes.

It is called 'Internet Protocol', when one types in upper case it is seen as SHOUTING.

Nice reply though, your true colours sure came through quickly.
