The usual suspects of course. Some of the more senior F/Os are being released to Air Canada. Juniors are going places like West Jet, though I've heard Cathay Pacific or maybe even Porter in one or two cases (that Porter is just a rumour, don't know it for a fact).

Yeah, whatever you do, don't come to Jazz if you want a captain's seat. Because it doesn't happen fast. It will take years.

The bottom Captains in Vancouver have about 20yrs in. 7.5 yrs will get you bottom of the list in Toronto or Montreal.

If someone gets in with Jazz with very little MPIC, would that hurt their chances at getting hired by AC?

Would it be better to have, say, 500MPIC turbine before going to Jazz?

moe,

I was going to ask this in a separate thread, but here should work.

Are airline upgrades (AC, WJ, CX, etc.) from right to left seat dependant at all on your experience prior to joining the company.......or is it strictly based on seniority?

Like for Jazz or AC, if a new hire comes in with 3500TT with 1500MPIC, would it be any more beneficial over someone with 3500TT and 500MPIC?

What I'm getting at, is it worthwhile to stick with a current company/position to gain additional MPIC prior to going to an airline in terms of upgrades down the road?

Thanks
