I think I need them. Ive never been into a Medical Cat 1 with them. What am I expected to do...take the glasses off and read the big E? Sounds dumb...correct me if Im wrong anyone...but as long as vision is corrected to 20/20 Im ok?

We both hold Cat 1 medicals.
Correctable to 20/30 is all thats required nowadays. Enjoy.
20/ 800? Holy shit! So that means the 20/20 person can see at 800' what he has to be at 20' to see? How thick are his lenses? I've tried driving with my 20/ 200 left eye just for kicks and I can barely stay between the blobs... i mean other cars. At night it's way worse, but I am correctable to something like 20/ 18.
Thanks for your help guys...I went and got an exam done...boy the aviation eye test is alot easier. This guy had the chart about 15ft away..my docter puts it 5 ft away haha and I still couldnt read it! Apparently Im 20/50. But it made a world of difference getting glasses. I have a stigmatism (sp?)...I dont think that will affect my medical in anyway....but the way the guy described what they did to people who had them sounded creppy (seeing edges on a slant...but the fact Ive had it all my life I dont even realize it...yuk). Meh atleast no more squinting. Thanks again!
