We were there for 4 days last year... camped at Fond du Lac. Tstorms are common around noon or shortly after so plan for it, and make sure to close your tent before going to the show.
Bring a big jug o water with you and a portable chair or towel for watching the airshows.
If youre flying, FDL is pretty good... restaurant on the field, shuttle bus every 30 minutes to KOSH ($10us per day), close town, clean showers and no big crowds.
Get an EAA membership before going down... saves you a bundle on camping, daily admission, and some other things around town.
Enjoy.

I'm going the day before it starts on the 26th . We're staying at the U of W Oshcosh campus dorms. It's only $22 a night and $4 breakfast.
My first time was last year for the 100th year of powered flight, my mind was blown. It really is aviation Mecca.
Look for a guy wearing a aviation T shirt, shorts and a straw hat, that'll be me.
Cheers Pete
