Air Mikisew
People can think and say what they want. They call you @18+ months, but by the time you go flying it's 2 year+ wait for rampies, fo's with 1000 hrs on Navajo's waiting for another FO spot on the Be99. Flight line pilots reversing back into their rampie job's when needed. Facts not personal insults. One post shows you, based on the responses how quickly people are willing to backstab each other here pretending they are happy with their position.
Yoda, if you're looking for pity, call Jenny Jones cuz you ain't gettin any here.
Alot of us have busted our balls to get where we are today and apppreciate everything we've got even if we're not at the top yet.
Your attitude will land you a great job - at Mcdonald's mopping the floor.

So go work at Tim Hortons like your buddy. After work you can go to the ramp them what losers they are while they make their way to their planes. Good luck in your new career.

Re: Air Mikisew
Why don't you just leave and then all of us can move up a spot? Did someone promise you flight line in a week? Do you think with your attitude that you deserve to go flight line? Would you not love to have that much time in a navajo? I'm sorry that someone told you that the aviation industry is a cake walk, but you were seriously misinformed. Everone on here with time has put in their time doing a crappy ramp job or instructing. What makes you so special that you deserve to be treated any different? The industry is slowing down now after the crazy hiring at the majors in the last year. Perimeter is at 18 months to 2 yrs. Peace air is probably no different.masteryoda wrote:People can think and say what they want. How is anyone backstabbing you? You're the one that came on here and put your crap attitude on display and a whole bunch of people called you on it...
I am not pretending to be happy with my job. I am a refueller for esso, I am around all kinds of planes and pilots. It has its ups and downs just like everything else. How many times have I been soaked in jet fuel and av gas and every night when I come home I smell like jet fuel. I can't say I want to do this forever but hopefully someday it wil pay off and hopefully I have gained some knowledge in the aviaition industry.

Feck sometimes I can't believe that I actually spend time on this forum...
Good on you buddy... Soon you'll realize that you still check out those "tight babes"...
That's what I like about those highschool girls... I keep gettin older but they're staying the same age...

In this industry were in, what goes around comes around.
You must like this kind of treatment since you imply that you still work for the company. Why is it that there are rampies on here, (myself included), that don't have the same complaints as you when we all work for the same company? Perhaps the problem lies with your attitude, and not Air Mikisew?...masteryoda wrote:No movement has the rampies moving on & on the run
Good luck to all the new naive rampies who come.
I will witness their frustrations much like mine and the lack of fun.
Management still has me on my knees
They butter me up and do as they please!

As much as it galls me to wade into this mess, enough is enough. General population, my apologies since what follows will be of little use to you; it's meant to settle questions that have been flying internally within Air Mikisew ever since this thread was originally posted.
Masteryoda, whoever you may be, while I agree that your concerns with Air Mikisew are valid, I'm not sure what you intend to accomplish by airing your grievances on this public forum. As you've seen, you're not getting a warm reception, so please, give up while you're...significantly behind. If your concern lies with management, talk to the management; if your concern lies with certain employees, talk with those employees. If your concern is with me, then be a man (or woman, as the case may be) and talk to me. But personal disputes have no place here.
Further, I do NOT appreciate your attempts to drag my name through the mud. Your tactics are totally transparent, and completely unbelievable to those who know me well. Further, if you intend to slander me by imitating my poetic style, at least do me justice and write something decent rather than the tripe you've been spewing into this thread. A limerick, for God's sakes, or even a haiku - being so poorly imitated is driving me nuts.
Now, to business; to anyone reading this thread wondering what's happened to make everyone so willing to harsh on everyone else; all I can say is that you would be well-served to discuss working conditions with the rampies (in addition to your interview with management) before you make any decisions as to where you want to work. Balance their opinions with those of the managers and you'll get a much more complete picture of the company before you make any commitments. Just keep in mind that management wants you to work there, and may make it sound much rosier than it is in reality - and the rampies, being a bitter lot in general, will probably do their honest best to dissuade you. If you find a company where BOTH parties seem happy, then congrats - you have yourself a winner.
Seriously now, please let this end once and for all. It's embarrassing to everyone.

Far be it from me to stir the pot, but you ramp biatches up there in Fort Mac are being grossly under paid. Another fuelling outfit in Edmonton is paying $14.50 to start and you don't even need to be a pilot. I'm sure the $11.50 you poor bastards start at goes a real long way in an overpriced shithole like Fort Mac.It is time for you all to unite and go on strike for some real world wages.

It pains me to see all the damage being done to the guys that work the ramp at Air Mikisew! I fuel there quite often and find these guys to be hard working, courteous, professional. Masteryoda, if you really do work there, you are killing any chance you and the others have of finding employment elsewhere. No one is going to want to hire anyone that is working the ramp at Mikisew given the complaining that you see on this forum!!! Please stop this slow career suicide before it is to late!!!! After complaining so loudly who do you think will hire you and the others if you decide to leave!!! You need to think more clearly about your career,if you are not happy then quietly go find a new job, before it is too late. This thread is very sad. (P.S. Ido not now nor have I ever worked for Air Mikisew.)

Well, if it is so shitty, and you are so underpayed, then why are you still there? Would it not make sense to just find another job? Or how about getting everyone together and telling managment how you really feel. (strike!bwahaha) Stand up for yourselves. Or just vent on an open forum, and eat your staple diet of crunchy peanut butter and bread. BTW, I asked for full mains awhile ago.....think you can get to it soon?
Son, someday you will make a girl very happy, for a short period of time. Then she`ll leave you and be with new men who are ten times better than you could ever hope to be. These men are called pilots.
