my dad is rich
my dad is rich and i am going to tell him to buy me an airplane to build time on and tell him to pay for a ppc on it also.
what kindof plane should my dad buy me if i am going ot make it as a pilot, a king air or a twin otter?
here is a link to some pictures of the planes i would like my dad to buy me.

speaking of rich daddys...has anyone read canadian aviator? theres a section in the very back with some kid and his blog, about his flight training....couldn't be older than 19.
he was talking about how he needed to get some instruments fixed and his plane re-weighed for his flight test...must be nice! doesnt look any older than 19 and hes got a nice pa-28.
yeah yeah Im sure Ill get the "you wouldnt pass it up if your parents bought you one" Personally Id rather take full tuition to law school, or if I was smart enough med school...so I can buy my own fancy stuff later in life.
im not complaining at all. ive gotten through college flight training on my own merit...but sheeesh, a nice plane after I graduated woulda been nice!

I busted my ass to pay for ALL of my Flight training...
BUT! had daddy or mommy offered up some $$ or an airplane.. do you think I'd be stupid enough NOT to take it?
To each their own. Use whatever advantages you have.
If dads a pilot more power to ya.. if you've got money.. hey great..
Quit whining about others that have had it easier at some point than you have.. I'm sure they'll have rough times at some point as pretty much everything works out equal in the end.
If I'd had the money.. I'd have bought block time on a floatplane or harranged my way into partial ownership and busted off a few hundred hours on floats ON MY OWN! But I couldn't find a means to come up with that cash without huge debt.. so I busted my nuts off on the dock and ramp.. Now I have the equivalent amount of time!!
Working ramp/dock/CSA to get into a flightline position sucks.. I know.. a lot of us have been there. It's bullshit to call it "paying your dues" and in all honesty.. we shouldn't be putting up with the low pay, lousy conditions and other associated crap.
If and when I end up in a CP or ownership position (what I'd actually like to do) I'll make damned sure we don't hire aspiring low time pilots to work the dock or ramp.. and if we do.. they'll at least end up sitting in the seat as much as I can get em there!
