I found it kind of odd that the story was 2 days old and not on the forum.

Shit I missed it...I have some drag strip pictures if someone wants to post the new ones.

Rumors have the it as a possible hydraulic failure. The plane landed flapless, or with approach flaps. Apparently not recommended by the manufacturer. the plane is so slippery that you need to vassi at 3 red to put it on the 1000 foot markers.

If they where having hydraulic problems, then why was the missed approach not initiated? Rumor has the pilots trying to reconfigure at 300 feet above the runway. Flaps come down little earlier than that I’m sure.

Duh, because you weren't sitting in the back seat telling them how to fly their plane

You'd probably be leading the charge to ask "Why didn't they just put it on the ground when they had the chance?" if they had gone around and piled it in due to an assymetric flap deployment.

ETA: Easy to 2nd guess, you weren't there.

We've been through this a thousand times. You simply cannot attempt to take action against someone for posting or disseminating information that is in the public domain. Period. End of story. Anybody who would cave to a phone call like that is a pussy.

Maybe they would get less attention if they stopped running planes off the runway (or onto drag strips) on a bi-monthly basis. One way to do that might be to spend more money on maintenance, and less money on lawyers.
