Hey guys just wondering if early to mid thirties is to late to start training and getting into the industry. Plus will it help with employment later if you have a background in forestry(firefighting, siesmic, ect). I've probably had about 150+ days working around helicopters and flying in them and have alway wanted to be the guy flying them. So I've got a good understanding of the areas I maybe working and conditions. Great site and thanks for anyinfo you can provide.

Its never to late in my opinion.It will help if you have some contacts to operators that you have worked with in the past.Some operators will like the experience but wont get you past the hard part when starting out.

hay canyaker if early to mid thirties is to late then i'm in trouble. i started my schooling at 33 and will be finished my apprenticeship in a couple of years.
there was a guy in his 60's that went through school a couple of classes before mine said he always wanted to fix B17's last the instructors heard he's in florida working for an air musium on B17's and other ww2 planes.
