I think that the term "professional" is used far too loosely here on this thread.. though FA's are very valuable, wanted , needed, and for the most part care about doing the job, they are not PROFESSIONALS in the true sense, and intent of the word. In the true sense, neither are pilots (like engineers, lawyers, etc are considered). I think that pilots should be, but thats another discussion all together.

Professionals can't be turned out in a 3 week course, but good flight attendents can be! (FA's. CSA's etc).
