Use that blue and white "cloud" paper. Bonus points for not being the std 8.5x11 inch size - something awkwardly larger is always better
But seriously ... one page - don't list your track and field awards in grade 7. Summarize all the important information (experience & qualifications) at the top. The CP is going to spend 5 seconds glancing at it before he likely tosses it in the round filing bin.
Rare is the 200hr wonder who is hired solely because of a faxed resume. Research the operation. Address the letter to the CURRENT CP, spell his name correctly! Include a bottle of scotch or at least a Playboy centerfold - it show that you're honestly interested about the operation, and not just blasting out 500 resumes from some list somewhere. It distinguishes yourself from the herd.
Much better to show up in person. Even better to find out the CP's home address and stalk him until he realizes he really has no choice except to hire you

If you work out of "Pearson" airport make sure to spell it "Person" and add this sentence in your cover letter.
"I make good job. I fly really hard in the sky. Person airport my favourite. I hate male stewardesses. I want to one day have 3 ex wives and 2 power boats and one 21 year old girl friend and be a financial trainwreck at the end of it."
I did that when I was bugged to apply to a major.
All kidding aside, send me your cv if you wish and I'll have a look at it.

Competition's heating up - usually because an industry is lucrative, though this one ain't.
You can also Google CV - lots of useful sites too, if you don't want to expose yourself to another pilot. Pilot resumes are magic - most of those aviation sites will charge you.

"What's it doing now?"
"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."
