FlightExec

Post by Fy Nulap Roach »

Does anyone here know if FlightExec is stuck on 500 mpic for hiring into the left seat of the Cheyenne? I've got plenty of time (3400TT, 1100PIC, 600Multi), but don't have the multi pic (would like some!), and am looking to move to Toronto. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1st of all, cool user name...
2nd of all, i believe they are pretty firm with that 500 hours, although i got a call with only 400 MEPIC, for an interview... go check them out if you are there, as far as companies go, fairly approachable to walk ins. Good Luck!!!

PS...you want to move to Toronto...on purpose?

A friend of mine who got in there (right seat) said they are pretty firm on the 500 multi PIC time but he was hired for right seat with just over 400 PIC.

3400TT, 1100PIC, 600Multi
I hope you don't mind if I notice that you have some very strange times.

3400TT and only 1100PIC means that you have (3400-1100) = 2300 hours of something other than PIC (dual? FO?)

But you have only 600 hours of multi (non-PIC, I understand) so that you have 2300 - 600 = 1700 hours of non-PIC ... in a single.

That's a lotta non-PIC (dual?) in single-engine.

 Oh, I get it now - 1700 hrs F/O in a Caravan or PC-12?

I think I'm showing my age - I'm not used to seeing people log thousands of hours of F/O time in a single. Disregard.

This info is 10 years old, but back in the day the onatrio Gov (via the MOH) required 500MPIC for PIC of medavac airplanes. FlightExec's ops is nearly 100% MOH flights.

Yeah Onterrible is one the list of provinces who think that MPIC...Any MPIC is better than time on type. Alberta has Contrail telling us that, and MB/ON have the gov telling it. Retards. Everybody knows that being an instructor on a Seneca 1 or bombin around in a Ho makes you a good King Air 200 captain automatically.

Since I fly for flightexec I can tell with with absolute certainty that you're wrong. The breakdown is closer to 75 percent charter and 25 percent medevac.

Do you guys understand that you're commenting on a thread that's almost a year old? Great search skills, but ...

I'll bet half the people that participated in the original discussion haven't been here for 6 months, and will never read your comments.

Heh heh... Hedley you're right, but then why are there already 2 replies posted (lol). In my meager defence I was actually looking for something else when I stumbled across the post. It wasn't until after I hit the submit button I noticed the date.

I am only current on one type of Piaggio. Still working on the P180. Then I'll be gold

Snowgoose, what Piaggio do you have time on? Are you looking for a job? We're in the process of replacing 2 captains on the Pia-juh.

Fline@9, sorry my piaggio type rating is non-transferable  But thanks for the offer.

FYI Piaggio makes the Vespa as well.

Here's the flying vids you asked for Hedley
