Logbook software
Hi,
I'd like to transition to using an electronic logbook (software version on a pc) and am wondering if anyone can recommend any logbook software (to replace the paper one) that they currently use or know of.
I remember seeing a thread on this before, but a search showed up nothing related. Thank you kindly for any recommendations!

It calculates times in columns, and does your Grand Totals....too easy.

10 Taker's so far on the excel spread sheet. Let me know what you think.
Also if it asks if "macro's" have to be enabled or not. Ensure that they are...I don't know what they are, or what it does...but my friend disabled them on his and it didn't work smoothly.

Any comments on people that don't keep a hand written log book anymore? I know it's nice to look back on but it's a real pain in the butt for someone with messy writing like myself. I have been using the Aloft one for sometime but still try and keep my paper one up to date. I just think it is kind of pointless to keep them both going all the time. Any comments or problems people have had (it is always backed up and in hard copy as well).
online logbook
You can go and check Mycanadianlogbook.com out to.. A great place to keep your flight hours...
check it out http://www.mycanadianlogbook.com

I use both digital and paper. Digital is backed up, and the digital backs the paper up. I must say...I use the digital to ensure that I add up times correctly, and it is by far much neater.
Though I still prefer the paper logbook.

. Enjoy.

I've been using the following site:
http://www.logshare.com
It's free. Also, it can show your hours and totals (per month, year, aircraft, etc) in bar graphs, which is pretty cool.

It's now uploaded to a publicly shared folder. After 40+ responses I figured I'd find somthing to put it on

Funny I found this thread... tonight, just finished entering my last log entry into electronic format.
I'm using Logbook Pro for PC, and also have the PDA version. Very powerful analyzing tool that (as mentioned above) will let you figure out how many hours you flew in a particular airplane, or group, over any specified time period. The duty time function is based on FAA regs, so the warnings may not be useful, but you can customize a lot of the features. Once you buy it, you have access to a forum a lot like this where tech nerds can help you format and use the program the way you want. A bit pricey, but a good product. Here's the link: http://www.nc-software.com

Not sure, but a number of people in the "wishlist" forum of the site have suggested including Canadian duty times as a parameter for the warnings. They are being considered for the next version. Other than that, not sure of a program that does it.
