International express F/O??
It has come to make me very angry of late that resumes come through my work with people saying that they have worked at regency express as an F/O. The people that are there are not employed, and are not first officers. They are students. Please stop saying that you work/have worked as an f/o there.

Regency is a cancer to this industry and to pilots everywhere. By putting regency or int ex on your resume you are basically saying don’t hire me.
I know of one case at a company where the pilots found out that a reg ex guy was being considered for a job and went to management and promptly educated the cp about regx and ended this young fellows chances of employment. The funny thing was that this kid was being considered on other merits besides his flying experience at regex. That’s what needs to happen more often and never fail I encourage you to do the same if any of those schmucks are ever considered for a job. They are scabs and need to be sent back to zbb.
Word is out and anyone who admits to having anything to do with regx is a moron.
You are right btw; they are not a former employee

you are an idiot...
I have never had a problem with regency being on my resume, and I have worked for more companies, and flown more airplanes than you ever will.
I'm not saying Regency isnt a cancer, and people arent retarded for working for them, but I was young, stupid and hungry enough to do it, and it was actually very good for my career.
But, DONT WORK FOR THOSE SOULESS FUCKERS. If anyone wants to know why.. ask.

I strongly disagree with Midnight Sun's proposed policy. You're punishing pilots for doing something they may not have known was wrong. I wouldn't hire anyone that has an attitude like that.

Whether or not Midnight Sun's policy is a good one, I really don't know. As an ex Regency employee, I have no right to ask him to change it. Maybe he was one of the guys that got canned from NorVan when Regency took them over due to having scabs like me working for them.
Regardless, he is NOT alone. There are many other companies who simply will not hire Regency types, and the list is growing. I have no idea how many garbage cans my resume has ended up in for that reason alone, but I do know of at least one very good opportunity I lost for having worked there. I had an interview where the person setting up the interview was not the same as the one conducting it. Long story short, it was made perfectly clear that I would not be working for his company and why.
There was a time, before their name was as well known as it is, that working there could get you a better job. Those days, if not over, are certainly numbered.
To those considering buying a PPC there: DON'T! Go north, go floats, go instruct! Your logbook, resume, and most importantly your conscience will thank you later, trust me!
Same thing to those working there now. Cut your losses and leave! Trust me on this one, if you have Navajo or Islander copilot time in Vancouver it's pretty obvious where you got it especially if you have 500tt/300multi. Leaving Regency off your resume, or putting International Express or whatever will no longer work, sorry. You're better off having no time at all.
