in a noisy piston Otter cockpit, 1988. lost on top at 9,000 ft with a wonderful sunset, southbound to a town.

We could pull the steering wheel knob to take it out the her way because noone needed to use it. The plane was stable but not us. The other times I was alone, remebering that very flight.

Woops, that other time just came back in a 172 on a gusty day. I had to lower her head so she could not see outside. Was so scary!

Now to the girls to tell their 1 mile high stories! If we do it, they must do it too right?

No "mile high" story but how about a "mile over"? Plane was on the ramp a mile away from the runway.

All I can say is if you have to take her to 8000 ft to do her she must be one butt ugly woman!

Besides your eyes should be looking out for traffic, poor pilot skills if you ask me!
That doesnt make any sense. Do girls look better as you climb higher?

Your right though I was not looking out for traffic but somehow by magic I made it.

It has to be a mile AGL, otherwise you'd just have to go to Denver and do it on the ground :)

Mine was in a 172 a few years back, on my 1000th hour :)

Having a standard that pilots lose their licence after making a mistake despite doing no harm to aircraft or passengers means soon you needn't worry about a pilot surplus or pilots offering to fly for free. Where do you get your experience from?

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

I wondered what you'd have to say. At least it wasn't one of the planes I flew!
