I always thought the Global Express was the most beautiful jet ever built but that Falcon made my morning.

The French do have superb engineering, even if their politics suck.
Oh well, I don't suppose as a Canadian I should be too critical - both our engineering and our politics suck.
Look at Italy. A tiny, more screwed up place (wrt politics) I cannot imagine, but they have Ferrari, Ducati and Lamborghini.
What does Canada have to be proud of? Celine Dion?

The original Dassault guy, Marcel Dassault, always used to say "Un bel avion est un avion qui vole bien"
a good looking aircraft will fly well
looking at the rafale, mirage 2000, this one, guess he actually made it his first policy for his engineers

All beautiful, but high maintenance.

High maintenance, but also ugly.

I've been working on falcons for 5 years or so and they kick a$$. They are very expensive but they are damn near bullet proof. Everything is designed like their fighters. Dassault uses some very simple yet very smart designs. Not to mention the TFE731's are one of the best engines ever built. I'm not to familar with the newer stuff but the 10/100's , 20's ( once you get rid of the CF700's) and 50's are great airplanes. BUT the wing flex test on the 7X was still very impressive.
