Hey John.
I was there at the same time you were. They offered me a job the Monday after but for that moneyin Halifax or Montreal is not worth it.
I'm Going to work in Thunder Bay for twice that money flying the same plane. They are telling me I'll get about 1000hrs a year.
Move on and find something better. Georgian isn't worth it.
What were the chances of you getting a job with them when you CRASHED the sim!!!!!!!!!!! Being over the beacon at 1.6DME, on one engine at 3200' didn't help. Or maybe it was the side slip towards the dead engine that put you in this situation.

No sh*t...give the guy a break! He can say what he wants and I'd still hire him... some of you people are so effin' ghetto about this "blacklisting" crap. I've always said what I've thought about aviation to whoever, even to my boss and I'm now with a reputable 705... don't let them get you down!bandit1 wrote:Maybe he's trying to be anonymous and calls himself "JOHN DOE"
But didn't want to use his anonymous last name because this is a public forum.

Ok, that's honestly the rudest thing you could possibly do. Who are you to judge him? Damn man, it's an effin sim eval, how good were you the first time you flew a jet, or a bigger plane that you were used to? Get a @#$!*ng grip on life man, it's not all about being an ace like you.
Gotta agree with vIrotate, one shouldn't be so critical of others. After all we have all had bad days when no matter what you do shit just doesn't go right.
However with that said I don't think realistically one could expect to be offered the job if the sim ride went that badly.

Putting money into aviation is like wiping before you poop....it just don't make sense!

Would a company still actually hire someone if during hiring process sim eval a candidate makes multiples errors and then piles it in? Not judging, just curious (at any company) how much weight is put on a candidate's ability to handle the sim.

Of course they would... but whoever wrote that doesn't have to be a prick about it. Im sick of all this macho-pilot-ace talk. Fortunatly where I work we've weeded out people like that and have an awesome group of people who see this for a job that it really is; we're bus drivers dude... get used to it.

I'm with happy, haven't figured out yet, when you quote someone
it shows up with white backround. Can anyone in the know,
let us in on the secret ways of the jedi posters?
