Canadian North Fire

Did anybody get a chance to see the Hangers burn in Iqaluit from Canadian North? It was quite spectacular, I was beisde it around 6:05 this morning and there was an explosion out the front main door from what I think are the propane tanks from one of the forklifts. The firemen are STILL spraying it down, been over 8 hrs now... wow.... poor guys..

Well you could be trolling, but if not I hope everyone is ok. Any aircraft in there?

and most importantly, was in intentional. As in did they build a new hanger and were getting rid of the old one.

It was their cargo facility. Canadian North has no hanger here in YFB.

I have heard nothing about injuries and its unlilkely due to the hour at which it started. There shouldn't have been anyone there at the time.

I see borek peeps in and out of there, bu they're hanger is further north on the field.... Canadian north had a charter from Air North today, the 737 pulls up beside the burnt hanger and all the passengers bangs are hand balmed out onto a pickup truck... sucks to be Canadian North.

Well there seems to be more of those dirt eating tree hugging druids here form places like France and Germany. I guess they are very happy to be in YFB!

Is (was) the CDN North hanger the one right next to the terminal or is it the one with the dog permanantly chained to it 365, 24, 7?
