Working Overseas

Post by Fox 3 »

Hi,
I have always been curious, how do people find these jobs that bring them overseas? you don't really see them posted anywhere. I always just assumed you kinda fell into them.

Thanks for any info.

Buy a JP Fleets cd, find a company that operates planes you can already fly in a place you want to go and call them. If you already have a experience or PPC from your current or previous job for one of their types it makes you an attractive applicant. It's a good way to see the world. Just make sure everything is worked out before you spend any of your money. Don't be afraid to ask questions or suggest a contract.

my post above would also apply to AME's. All those companies above send AME's with the aircraft on international deployments.

Also, Zimex, in Switzerland hires Canadian AME's and I hear that it's not a bad place to work. Good pay, good per diems, rotations vary depending on the base, and they pay your ticket back to where you live in canada from the foreign base for your month off.
