Wow.. that place is incredibly low cost..
If you're just going to build time, it wouldnt matter if you're spending $300/day on a hotel suite, you'd still be saving money from the $250/hr prices up here.
granted thats USD, but it works out to ~$90/hr CAD..125 TWIN TIME HOURS $9,995.00

The question is, how much of that time is SAFETY pilot time, because guess what, 0 of it counts in Canada.
In the USA 2 pilots can log PIC in VFR Weather (because one pilot is a safety pilot, and the other is theoretically "under the hood")
Remember, if it's too good to be true, it usually is!!
(Goodluck getting through transport with time like that for your license)

"The instructors at Aviator are hired right from the ranks of our graduating Professional Pilot Program students. Our instructors have more than 200 hours of multi-engine time before they begin instructing.
Our instructors fly between 70 and 140 hours a month making up to $25,000 a year during the time they are here. "

They've also got a note on their website that if you'd like to log "JAA P1 time" you need to pay an additional $20/hr. I assume that ensures that you aren't flying as the safety pilot.
Am I right in saying that JAA P1 is equivalent to PIC?
If so, wouldn't that be acceptable to TC as legit multi PIC time?

then im off to either moncton college or empire flight school to get my class 4 instructor, the PIC time instructors log is better then the right seat time logged on a king air in the start
Statements like this make me cringe.. It's not just about "logging time" how about building hands and feet and decision making skills outside of the circuit, not to mention flying alternating legs... You would fly alot more as an FO than an instructor.

I agree with bater, go up north and get some fo time on a king air, you won't be there for more than 8 months and you'll be upgraded to the left seat. With the way the industry is moving now you'd be back down south and in with the airlines within 2 years... if thats what you want of course.
You're better off finding your hands and feet than spending time in a curcuit.
Thats my 2 cents.

let're rip
fish fish...."40.7" hours actual IMC? Maybe, if you're doing holding patterns over the frikken rain forest. I haven't been in the clag for 40.7 hours in the last three years!
And 99 hours hood? So, for 140 hours of your 260, you didn't actually look out a window and see anything? Sure.
My pen is out of ink...

Other than Air Nunavut, who else is up north that will hire anyone under 500 hrs. I think Air Nunavut already filled up there 2 open spots.timbuck wrote:I agree with bater, go up north and get some fo time on a king air, you won't be there for more than 8 months and you'll be upgraded to the left seat. You might be the next . Yeager, but not a company in the world will even consider you if you dont have those hours under your belt.bater wrote:Statements like this make me cringe.. At least if you're a terrible pilot but have hours you make it to the interview.
