Freelance flight instruction

Post by Captain 152 »

Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how to go about being a freelance flight instructor. I'm currently working in the Vancouver area flying a mid-sized turboprop. The schedule allows some free time for a second job and, like most pilots, I could use the extra cash. My instructor rating is still valid and I have experience teaching PPL, CPL, multi and IFR. I'm just not sure where to advertise or to get the word out. Anyone have any ideas? I'd really appreciate any suggestions :D

There's also that BC based aviation magazine; can't remember the name of it, put an ad in it.

Go around and post a few flyers in the CZBB, CYPK, and CYNJ area might just get lucky

those training places may be looking for summer help with a few flights here and there
