If any of you have written and passed the exams, can you comment on how long it took to study, or an estimate if a person was to nearly study every day for it.
Is there a textbook for the exam, or do you use some of the training books provided for your pilots license? Is there at least a book which outlines what to study?
Any recommendations appreciated.

I just actually wrote the ops exam... good thing seeing as I am teaching the ops portion of the ground school. Not ever even looking at the material I managed a pass, it is more or less PPL, CPL, a little bit of ATPL info a some IFR stuff for fun. If you have a PPL should be no problem just be sure to grab a cap gen and you should be good to go. Nothing to exotic on that part. As for the met exam, ATPL met all the way and you are good to go.
