I had already finished 3 acknowledge test for FAA license. The next step will be oral test, but it looks very tough, Is it right? Anybody has experience about this please giving some suggestion. Thanks a lot.
By the way, I need some recommendation for examiner most close to monteal area. Thanks.

When I did mine 5 years ago it was just a repeat of the written exams. I had to bring my books with me and the examiner read right from the books. The practical is a little harder you have to fill out all the paper work as if you were going to install an STC on an aircraft including 8130 form, logbooks and amend the weight and balance. After that it was basics like soldering wires in a cannon plug, checking for contaminated fuel, checking a fuel shut-off valve, checking p/n's in the IPC. After that he gets a days work out of you for the 200 or 300 bucks you gave him. Hope this helps.
