is there any more info to why this happened?? why would the inspector say this to you, was it out of the blue, or result from something you did? there must be some underlying info as to what instigated the whole cat vs. tc ordeal and not just this incident, what caused the animosity of tc towards you in the first place?? people just don't stonewall other people out of the blue for no reason, something obviously must have happened maybe you can share with us??Was going to show me how difficult he was going to make it for me to ever get anything approved
Question for Cat and other people who think TC is awful

That is correct, so in that you seem to feel that I must had done something that was illegal, or in violation of the rules prior to my problems with said inspector why don't you contact Dave Nowzek or Merlin Preuss and ask them what transpired over that two and a half year period....by the way here is a hint, that inspector was hated by everyone who I met and asked them about him.people just don't stonewall other people out of the blue for no reason, something obviously must have happened maybe you can share with us??
Are you suggesting that I set out to put all that money into a FTU and just decided to make things impossible to get approved by starting a fight with a TC inspector just for fun?
I'm getting just a little bored with constantly being put on the defensive by people who seem to think that one must have done something wrong to get into difficulty with some TC inspectors....so go ask the God Damned DGCA why said inspector suddenly resigned from TCCA two days after the Director General left my home with the documeents I gave him about said inspector....I got the documents from a total stranger who like me had been fu.ked over by that same inspector....
Jesus Christ I'm so fed up with a lot of people in aviation I wonder why I even bother to try and improve the system...I sure as hell won't receive any personal advantage from it seeing I no longer work in Canada.

cat i did not say anything at all about you doing anything wrong to deserve bad treatment from tc also i didnt say anything about you doing any thing illegal to instigate the treatment from tc. i just ask what would have caused the treatment to begin in the first place after you apply for tc ftu.
i remember a quote from your friend mcrit who said something like "you always tend to avoid giving the information that could very easily answer the question" rather you send people on a silly goat chase with your constant copy & paste words and catch phrases that people have been reading for years now.
you always complain that people keep asking you about your story, but maybe because you never give a straight forward story about what happened only the result of something no one knows about. maybe if you explain the reasoning behind what started the hatred of tc towards you, more peoples would understand. you know very well that if someone called tc and ask about your case, no public info would be given, just like if you call hospital to ask about someone elses test results. would you please give us the info about what transpired prior to the threats from tc?
thank you sir

My issues with TCCA are far from over and there are things that I can not post on this forum on advice of legal council.
But if you wish I can provide the findings of the investigation by the Director General Transport Canada.
It was quite short and explicit.
" Mr . was denied due process. "
What more do you need than TC admitting that I was denied due process by the top people in TCCA?
Do you understand what that finding means?
If you do not it means that the top people in TC denied me my rights under law in Canada......do you get it?
The very people who are sworn to uphold and enforce the law were found guilty of ignoring the law.
Now just one more time...I have never ever been charged with any contrevention of the Aeronautics act nor CAR's nor ever had an accident during my career....the problems I had was with TC officials being guilty of acting outside not only their code of conduct but the law its self.
Do you understand that as a Canadian citizen dealing with a Federal regulatory body we all are supposed to be treated equal under the law?

hi cat
i understand because more tc legal battle may be in the works, then somethings legally you cannot say because of the open case, that makes sense and thanks for mentioning
again..i did not say or imply that you did anything wrong or commit any unlawful acts...i just ask what would have caused the whole denied process to occur....again in your last post you only repeat what you have said for last couple of years, that you were denied due process and screwed over unlawfully by tc.....but you still never tell anyone what originally caused tc to go on the offensive on you..you say you can give tc official report, but that only talks about what happened after you request a different inspector when the problems began...i was hoping to know why tc or the inspector would originally try to bully you....but i guess you never willbe able to tell us because of the open legal case so i will stop asking...but like many people, i keep reading continous posts by you on the same stuff over and over yet no one actually knows why tc chose to do this...you seem always to have no problem with asking the hard questions of anyone you feel, but as soon as someone questions you, you always try and retaliate against them like they are an instant enemy just like tc...i am not tc, i just wanted to know why tc did this to you..thank you for your time...good luck in the rest of your legal proceddings, lots of people hope you do well

Fair enough, and I can understand how you could feel that my ittitation might be directed at you personally, and a lot of it comes from lack of one on one interaction when using a key board.you seem always to have no problem with asking the hard questions of anyone you feel, but as soon as someone questions you, you always try and retaliate against them like they are an instant enemy just like tc...i am not tc, i just wanted to know why tc did this to you..
Another cause of emotions over riding reason is in these forums we generally are dealing with people who do not wish to be identified and are posting under assumed names.
I have from the get go used my real name for the express purpose that I had hoped it would add credibility to what I say, especially about something as serious as my problem with TCCA.
You mentioned mcrit as an example of my not answering questions, how do you think I feel when I read his accusing me of things I have never been guilty of. As an example just today he is claiming that I was fired from a job for ruining someones engine.
Hell I never ever flew that airplane so how could I have ruined an engine?
You see there is an example of anonimity protecting someone spreading false information.
You asked:
There are legions of people who have been screwed over by TC and wondered why....i just wanted to know why tc did this to you..
The best answer I can give is " because they can " and there will not be many who have dealt with TC directly who will argue that fact.

ok thanks for the comments
i guess i just figured that maybe there was a rift between you and the inspector guy or you an tc prior to your ftu application.....something like that to cause them to come after you...its hard to imagine how one day you send away an ftu application, then the next day --boom-- tc hates you and is out to get your for no reason....anyhow hope the outcome is good for you
one more question before i go...you said you think it would be a improvement if tc went with the faa system where no oc required for ftu...do you also think it might be a good idea to not require oc for part 7 operators?

Good question....you said you think it would be a improvement if tc went with the faa system where no oc required for ftu...do you also think it might be a good idea to not require oc for part 7 operators?
The answer is no it would not be a good idea for 70... operators to not have to obtain an operating certificate.
Flight training and charter, airline flying are two completely different fields.
What sets flight training apart from 70...operations is the flight school trains a pilot to aquire a license or rating and the quality of their product is determined by written tests and a flight test.
If flight training could be done like it is in the USA without all the paperwork and other nonsense that adds nothing to the process the operator of the school could put more money into paying instructors or in the case of a owner instructor in their own pockets where it should go instead of supporting drones in government offices who add nothing to the quality of training that a school could not produce on its own.
Let the market place sort out who succeedes and who fails.

Yes indeed "Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
In the hands of mentally unsuitable and/or vindictive people whose only solace in life is to punish other people, this quotation is very apt.
There is an inspector with TCCA who failed to qualify, but was hired nonetheless. He is a despicable and incompetent lowlife who is despised inside and outside of TCCA.
In the face of overwhelming opinion and the proper submission of evidence showing his guilt, he is still employed at TCCA. Indeed, Ottawa would rather produce lies to support him and turn loose tax-funded lawyers to stonewall attempts by industry people to seek proper justice.
That should tell everyone legions about the corruption that exists at the top of TCCA.
I keep saying we need an Ombudsman to resolve issues, but certainly, there seems to be little support in the Industry for that idea, so, like Cat Driver, I keep trying to improve the industry I spent over forty years in.
It is very frustrating to see people turn a blind eye to how things are and not stand up for their own rights. That is why I appreciate Widow, and Cat, plus others who post here.
Bose...................Like everyone else, including myself, you feel there has to be a trigger for wrongful behaviour by a Civil Servant. I believed that all my working life until I saw this stuff first hand.
I will repeat myself again........"It does not matter how dishonest or incompetent an Industry person might be, it does not absolve a Civil Servant (TC Inspector) from behaving properly within the Civil Service Code of Ethics and various manuals. "
In short, I should be able to call an Inspector an "asshole" and he/she should still have the backbone to deal with me in the appropriate and sterile fashion. (If you choose to become a Government Inspector with regulatory powers, you should not expect to win popularity awards.) That being said, the majority of us deal with each other in a civil and professional manner.
Any Inspector who freely chooses to stray from the acknowledged path should be brought to heel and/or fired.
We are talking gross dishonesty, manufacturing of evidence, release of personal information, bullying, physical threats, intimidation, racial slurs, sexual slurs, gross interference, incompetence, abuse of power, attempted extortion, just for starters.
Why is this individual a Federal employee?
Please tell us how we get to have a voice in this matter.

Unprovoked vindictiveness and abuse of power.
Bose asked me what instigated my complaint to TCCA regarding the inspector who threatened me, the answer is above.
There is no contest in deciding that question, in the way my case was handled and based on the findings of fact paid for by all you good people the people who should be fired for gross incompetence and dishonesty as well as abuse of power are as follows. So, who is more guilty? ...The individual or the management who support him?
Merlin Preuss
Dave Nowzek
Robert Sincennes
Dick Murray
The rest are merly a symptom of the disease that has infected the body of your Federal Regulator Transport Canada Civil Aviation.
Please hang this statement of mine on your wall also.
