Exiting Bankruptcy = ugly new paint job

Post by abc xyz »

Is it just me or are all these airlines that are so called "rebranding" themselves following bankruptcy allowing blind people to pick their new paint schemes.

Heres Delta new look

i guess a 4th livery in the past decade was needed. Pensions gone, big paycut and this is what you get

I have to agree with Four1oh, Delta's paint job is nicer. Now he might even replace that AC 319 with the Delta as his screensaver.

Delta emerges from bankruptcy with new look, high hopes. A newly painted 757-200 featuring a white fuselage and a revamped two-tone red widget on a blue tail rolled out at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport yesterday, signifying the end of Delta Air Lines' 19-month journey through bankruptcy and the launch of what CEO Gerald Grinstein called "a new and prosperous era." The new logo and livery are the visible part of DL's effort to "completely transform every aspect of our business and create a platform for long-term success that will enable us to weather future volatility in the airline industry," according to CFO Edward Bastian. The airline has added more than 60 new international routes and claimed it now is the leading transatlantic carrier. Source: Air Transport World

Yeah, the new livery is darling! Just what we need to see is another "white fuselage, painted tail" :? Boring!

At least AC has attempted to depart from the mundane (cheap) look.

I have always liked the new AC paint job. Thought it was pretty original when it first came out. I know I'm in the minority.

I still think Borek still has one of the nicest paint schemes out there.

I agree with the "gay" aspect, but "Minty Green"?? You must have failed the colour blind portion of your vision test.

Geez... driving for AC over the past number of years has been rough... first they make you fly the Froot Loop fleet, also known as the former Zip, and now these awful eyesores. What could possibley be next?
