One of my most loyal friends from college and a fellow pilot died in this crash. He was one of the nicest, funniest, genuine guys you'd ever meet. Miss you already bud. I'll be polishing off a few extra beers this weekend for you, I know thats the way you'd want it. Deepest regards to all friends and family.

Flying an aircraft and building a guitar are two things that are easy to do bad and difficult to do right

Is this accurate?
Float plane goes down
May 18, 2007
From the OPP
A Cessna 180 float plane with two occupants went down yesterday while en route to a northern camp near Woodland Caribou Provincial Park.
The plane was reported overdue by a local airways service to the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre at CFB Trenton at 9:45 p.m.
A search and rescue unit immediately was dispatched but was unable to proceed due to poor weather conditions.
When conditions improved, the search and rescue operation resumed, and the downed plan was located near Miller Lake around 5 a.m. this morning.
One occupant of the plane was transported to the Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital in Red Lake with serious injuries.
A joint investigation effort has been initiated by the Transport Safety Board from Winnipeg and the Red Lake OPP.
This investigation is ongoing and further information will be released when facts have been confirmed.

Please everyone lets not start speculating on what happened. This one is hitting pretty close to home, so lets let the accident investigation folks do their jobs.
