Pilots and aircraft wanted this Saturday

Post by ANalli »

It’s here! This Saturday is International Young Eagles Day and it’s shaping up to be the biggest ever. Wings Over Canada will be filming in Brampton for international airing and over 1,000 kids will be flown at 3 GTA sites – Brampton, Buttonville, and Oshawa.

For the first time ever Hope Air will be issuing charitable tax receipts to pilots to offset fuel and rental costs – so volunteering has never been easier, and flying seldom more affordable.

We are in need of more pilots to help fly Young Eagles. Fly for an hour or for 4 hours, do one flight or do a dozen, it’s entirely your call. Every flight counts and would be a huge help toward the success of the event.

The best way to ensure the longevity of general aviation is to help develop the next generation of pilots. Support GA, share the thrill of aviation with the kids, and get a little back from Hope Air – it’s going to be a great day for everyone!

If you’re interested please let me know as soon as possible. Ground volunteers are also needed but it’s all about the pilots. I look forward to hearing from you.

Im definitely looking into becoming a Young Eagles pilot in the (very) near future. I sure would rather get more time on type first, as well as get this first annual out of the way. But rest assured, I'll have the registration forms displayed in the clubhouse.
