Private Airbus 380
I was reading some news on the Paris Airshow and some Dude ordered a 380 for private use. How cool is that???
Of course the tree huggers are in arms because its so decadent for one person to use so much fuel just to get laid at 35000 ft.

Cuba is one of the few remaining 'communist' states in the world.Pilot_adam wrote:Yea and that idiot thinks he got himself a deal...wonder how many hungry kids can this number feed...

Suggest you move there if you think it's your place to judge how others spend their money in the free world.

Don't forget North Korea; questioning others' motivation is really popular over there I understand.the_professor wrote:Cuba is one of the few remaining 'communist' states in the world.Pilot_adam wrote:Yea and that idiot thinks he got himself a deal...wonder how many hungry kids can this number feed...

Blaming the vendor for the effects of supply & demand; demand that you yourself play a part of creating every time you fill up your tank. That makes a lot of sense.tellyourkidstogetarealjob wrote:Considering he's probably an oil sheik I'll be thinking how "cool", it is every time I shell out $116.9 per litre for gas.
Besides dumbass, did you realize that the gas you buy is Canadian? We are a net exporter of oil. It is U.S. who relies on the middle east to meet their demand.

Don't talk down to me, boy. You wouldn't to my face.the_professor wrote:Besides dumbass, did you realize that the gas you buy is Canadian? We are a net exporter of oil. It is U.S. who relies on the middle east to meet their demand.
The gas I buy is Canadian only if I'm in the west. In eastern Canada it's primarily Saudi oil. The country is a net exporter but the price is still world price and that is determined (or manipulated, more appropriately) by OPEC.
I'm far from a tree hugger but world demand drives up the price. My econo box or motorcycle does much less to contribute to world demand than some idiot buying an A380.
By the way, the sky here is very blue today. Try working on your people skills and maybe one day someone will let explore the sky for yourself.

Moving up to a 380 for someone with their finger in the national treasury is natural progression.
In N.America they go from a Baron to a Cessna Jet to a 125 and on up.
Walk around the bizz jet ramp over there (Saudi) and you see a few 125s but not a lot smaller and some Grumman V5s etc but mostly Boeings and Airbus for VIP.
With a large family like they have you need a big 380 to carry you and the wifes. The more money you have the more wives you can afford. The Nannies and kids probably travel on the old BBJ.

You bet I would. I talk down to anyone who displays that kind of ignorance.tellyourkidstogetarealjob wrote:Don't talk down to me, boy. You wouldn't to my face.
Off to Cuba with you too then. The last thing this world needs is a bunch of cry babies who are going to start determining what is or is not extravagence when it comes to how I or anyone else uses their after-tax dollars. Would it make you feel better if I plugged three of the six fuel injectors in my car? That would help to reduce the world demand.tellyourkidstogetarealjob wrote:I'm far from a tree hugger but world demand drives up the price. Would this explain all this bitterness in your posts ?the_professor wrote:Been there, done that. The pay sucked so I left.
Whatever the subject, it's a "bing bang paf" answer from you with the usual "if you don't get it you are a dum@ss"!
I'll be curious to know how much $$$ this A380 crew will make. Should be the top aviation paid one!

My guess is people at work won't listen to him anymore so this forum is the only place left for him to spew his simple minded ignorant opinions filled with prejudice, that he so often mistakes as facts, of the confusing world he desperatly struggles to comprehend. I don't think we should blame him for that though. Remember, closed minds always have open mouths.TG wrote:Would this explain all this bitterness in your posts ?the_professor wrote:Been there, done that. The pay sucked so I left.

It's unfortunate though that those who can not outgrow the box they were raised in (no matter how small or dark it was) will never truly be able to comprehend how big, complex and diversified the world really is.
I guess calling yourself a "professor" is the only remaining recourse to try and give yourself a little credibility in the eyes of those around you, in hopes that they will listen to your blabber just a little longer.

Mister THE Professor,Bitter is how I would be described if I had stayed on the flying side of the industry. Getting out was the best decision I ever made.
What about getting out of this aviators forum as well?
Flying an aircraft and building a guitar are two things that are easy to do bad and difficult to do right

This is an Aviation forum if im not mistaken, there being an ATS forum, not an aviators forum. Get off your horse.
