Collect Corp. Here we go again!
Well, Received another notice about not paying the medical bill. From what year - who knows? All I know is that they have ALL been paid. My last medical was yesterday.....gee.....call them - leave a message. No one ever seems to be home! They say " all our CSR's are busy but a senior account manager will call you back." Must be a one man show! What professionalism!!!!!!!! Keep threating.....I have a lawyer as well!
I too 'might' have recieved another letter from the same idiots. Like you say they can keep on threatening, as it is an empty threat. I'd like to see them prove that I am even aware of their collection actions. There is a reason things like summons are sent registered mail or served in person...
This is a fishing expedition, see how many people they can cow into paying. Go ahead and take me to court, for the amount involved it is not worth their time and we both know it. Don't send these losers a dime. If you are going to cave in and pay, do it directly to TC so the leeches don't get a cut of it.
Screw TC and their greed...

I actually paid them... I asked the info and they said it was from 1998! So either two things happend here... I forgot one payment in 98 and always paid one year later without interest, or I paid it in 98 and somehow managed to go through the system. I don't want any loan sharks to call me and my name is worth more than $55 to me... The hell with it it's tax deductable anyways...

I have no idea what all this is about.
I've had a pilot medical since 2000 and have never been asked to pay anything from TC. I just paid whichever doctor whatever money he wanted.
Is this something extra you gotta pay on TOP of the medical fee you pay the doctor?
They've never sent me a bill.

I have not received a single invoice since my 2nd medical, last eight years nothing. Every year they just withhold it from my income tax return. I might be inclinded to pay them "IF" they send me a bill. How am I to pay if they don't send me an invoice every other company in Canada seems to get it.stopsquawk wrote:you're kidding right?istp wrote:I have no idea what all this is about.

Maybe it's just if you're working as a pilot?stopsquawk wrote:you're kidding right?istp wrote:I have no idea what all this is about.

ISTP, I was in the same boat as you, I never received a bill from TC at all, apparently the first few years I had a license have dissappeared from somebodies radar, but I did get a collect corp letter for the last 2 years. I was shocked, but I called collect corp, and TC, and ending up paying TC straight up. If you have never paid the $55 medical bill, I guess it will catch up to you at some point. Like I said, the first bill I ever recieved was the collect corp one. Take it easy

but today in the mailbox was a letter from said collection agency. Guess I owe them 2 years? $110.
Next time you have a shit wipe your ass with the letter and return it to sender.

thanks collectcorp
If you decide to pay the fees, do it directly to transport not collectcorp. I made that mistake and am now fighting them for it. I got said letter for 2 years fees $110. Proved that I paid one year and sent them the invoice and proof of payment. Couldn't find proof for the second year so I fessed up and sent their form back to bill my credit card for $55. The f&*^&ers billed me twice for the full amount. I called to complain about the unauthorized amount and they had the nerve to say it wasn't their problem and to deal with it I should call mastercard.
Called transport and it turns out they billed me 3 times! so transport refunded me $110. Now I'm disputing the bill with mastercard which collectcorp will lose because I have the paperwork as proof.
Owed $55 but getting $165 BACK! Thanks collectcorp.

Yep got 2 voicemails telling me to call Mr. Nixon, and when I did call there offices were closed and this was at 3pm Alberta time on a week day. I realize that they are based in Toronto, but come on at least stay open long enough so the people you are trying to track down can at least phone back and tell you to @#$! off. Anyway left a message over a week ago with them to call me back to resolve the issue and haven't heard a thing back from them. WTF is going on there?
following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.

Collection Agency told me (collect corp) That they are aware its a TC computer issue, and their system automatically sends out these letters, and that I should just ignore it. (right from their CS reps mouth)
Getting charged for my PPL fee when I've had my CPL for 3 years is pretty foolish.
