Looking for info on total hours requirement and pay for FOs. Any info on who they hire and what they look for would be great. Everyone seems to think it is a great place to work, and I have heard the pay is good. I could see myself making a career job at Paco. Thanks.
You might want to try phoning or emailing them. At least then you will get their "up to date" requirements.

Yes, thanks for the tip there Longtimer, I know where there are located and what there email and ph # is. In fact I have emailed them in the passed and not received a reply, and I will phone them before I fire off a resume. I would however like to find out as much as possible about them before I contract them.
I would still like to hear from people who either have experience with them, or know something about them. Including the stuff you don't get by phoning them. Like what kind of hours new hire actually have, which can be different from the bear mim, and what there experience was or is working for them. Thanks again.

Worked the ramp for Pasco for a couple of years. The flight crews are pretty happy in general. From what I collected from them, you can, and some do get hired with 250 hours. Only catch is that you will be f/o for a long long time. Not sure now, but the crews used to be their own rampies up north in the 1900 and King Air.
What is the difference between god and pilots?
God doesn't think he is a pilot!

With insurance and such changing, they've actually been pretty strict about requiring minimum 1000 hrs unless you know someone or you work there. I know a few rampies that have been there for a while though with low hours who haven't moved at all. The flight crew who do work there are generally pretty happy and the pay is pretty good. Hope that helps
Thanks for all the helpful replies. I don't think I want to head there just yet, not that I would turn down the job I guess. But I would like to get a little more PIC time to avoid the career F/O position.
Everyone says the pay is pretty good, but does anyone have any idea on what good actually is. Just to compare to other companies. Thanks

neechi if you had maybe taken the time to call him first , and asked if you could meet with him you would most likely have a better result. Paco and other companies are to busy to let everybody who drops by meet with them. Also it shows respect to them that you care enough about his/her time.neechi wrote:I stopped by with my resume and asked to see the cp and was told "the cheif pilot doesnt talk to pilots".
Either you're in, or you're in the way

We should point out that the guys and gals that went from ramp to F/O jobs were there 3 years or more before being offered a flying job. And I know of one that was instrucitng on the side and had 1000 before he got in. They dont really hire from the ramp. I heard that the min is now 1000 due to insurance. And most F/O get laid off in the fall so it is seasonal.
The CP will talk to you but like Arthur Q said, call ahead remember they are busy running an airline with lots of thing to take care of.
