The study and referance guide. And the flight instructor guide.

The easiest way to study the licensing requirement, arguably the hardest part, is to use CARs directly.

All the other stuff you know/knew for the commercial.

I used "Sample Examinations for the Instructor Rating", First Edition from Sabrejet International, which I bought at Aviation World for about one-third the price of the competition.
It was quite an eye-opener to see what sort of questions were asked and how they were phrased; I would not have passed the written without it.

The "He Who Shall Not Be Named" ground school course book was actually very good, in my opinion.

I used the C****** books and the Sabrejet book aswell. Both were helpful. However, the Sabrejet book has/had quite a few errors in it...so double-check your answers with other references (From the Ground Up, FIG, FTM, etc) when you mark your tests. Funnily enough, it was this re-checking of the answers that helped me the most I felt.

Also, Pultz does an Instructor book as well. As for who sells them, I know there is Hammond Aviation in YKF. I'm sure there are others as well.

Good luck with your test.
