finally someone has got it right
I know nothing of this company except for their job posting, but Missionair is a company that is paying there pilots right. We are professionals and flying in northern Manitoba's communities is tough work. 1500 hours can get you a job flying some pretty nice equipment these days, so missionair has set the bar high, with pay that I feel should be industry standard for a 1500 hour navajo pilot. if you want a navajo captain with 1500hrs these days you got to pay. this is a wake up call for all other companies. Thank you missionair for showing the industry that you can still operate a Navajo and pay your captains what they should be getting paid.
Again, it's simple economics. They simply want a pilot that will stay there long term in that company with that kind of "package". Getting pilots for a job is no problem, keeping them is the question for most companies.
This almost seems too good to be true though... If it is true, kudos to 'em.

Hey - I'm just stating what seems to be an obvious point.YYC the place to be wrote:you got to be kidding me....how many job postings have you seen on avcanada where it says PPC required?
come on!!!!
do your research before you type
These guys have been advertising for several months now and at $64K they still don't have anyone?
This guy is reposting "SAYING AGAIN" that he wants a PPC - lot's of guys with time on type applied but he wants someone with a current PPC... and will not train/renew another guy... to me that's BS.
But yeah the pay is where it should be, guess it's too much too ask for everything to be right about the job...
