One way to stop a preemptive stike on Iran

Post by swede »

It would appear that Cheney behind bars may be the only way to stop WWIII, really. One can only hope that these predictions are wrong, and that the bush/cheney regime will soon be relegated to histories dustbin and the ignominy it deserves.

Might as well go for the trifecta. They've fvcked up Iraq and Afghanistan, might as well add Iran.

Iran would be a tragedy. Plain and simple. People think that casualties are bad now - Iran would be worse then a slaughterhouse - for both sides. Bush/Cheney and team have made some pretty ass-headed moves in the past, but this would take the cake. They would be sending the men and women of their armed services into a slaughter, and fully, completely 100% discredit the United States for a long time to come.

At this moment in time I believe most of what we have been hearing has more to do with slowing the investment capital by Russia, China, and some EU countries into Iran. Iran oil sales are Euro-dollar exclusive now; a strong part of the cause of the declining US dollar recently. Chavez and Putin nationalizing oil reserves is a huge blow to US interests as well. The US petro-dollar is falling and will likely crash, but I think the consequences of war with Iran at this moment in time are too great. Something big has to happen first, I believe. China may have financed the Iraq war but considering China's investment in Iran I doubt they would..... Plus Congress likely wouldn't allow war with Iran at this time.

Would someone care to share with us what elements if the US Armed Forces are free to make such an attack on anyone, anywhere? Obviously, someone here has information from the inner sanctum that is unavailable to the military bosses. So again, with that information that has been obtained, please tell us what units and from what bases would they come from to make such an attack? I'll assume that we are referring to the Army, Navy and USAF and so again, who and from where?

It would prove to be valuable information because the Pentagon is so strapped for manpower that they have extended tours to 15 months. That fact now has a major lawsuit being commenced as of last week against the Pentagon by a major law firm representing US troops so affected.

In short, even George W. Bush and Richard Cheney can't make chicken salad outta chicken shit.

Come on LH. We both know that not having the manpower or equipment necessary for the job has never, ever stopped civilian masters from sending the military in to bleed.

Oh, and don't forget to mention Uncle Sam's Misguided Children...Nark will blow a gasket if your forget to metion his beloved corps. Or even worse, lump him and the rest of the friendly jarheads in with the navy.
