Post by Dog »

Anyone know of a float plane accident in Bamfield today? The wife got sent out there with reports of eight people in the water but got stood down by CCG saying everyone was OK.

Was out there this afternoon and saw no sign of one, however the scuttlebut tonight is suggesting it was U.S. plane... at this point apparently no casualties, thank god.

Low and slow(DHC-2) with a full load, tried a steep turn on final and ended up in the drink next to an island in Barkley Sound. Everyone got out.

Hey GH,
The a/c was N340KA operated by Sound Flight in Seattle. The incident happened right across from the mouth of Bamfield Harbour in Dodger Channel.
Cheers.
