Aircraft: YXZ Tower, C172 GABC over XY, 2300, inbound for landing with information ...(pilot doesen't specify )
Either this means (in most cases) that you are too lazy to listen to the ATIS prior to arrival, or either too lazy to extend yourself to indicate to the poor controller and others around you the last ATIS information you recieved (eg. Infomation "alpha").
How is the controller supposed to know if you know whats going on at the airport? If you don't have time to get ATIS eg. handover from terminal and no " comm. 2" indicate to the controller that you need to know whats going on so that you don't use the wrong arrival, or even departure procedures for the wrong runway.
THANKS! End of rant!
