The important question is not which aircraft will replace the 727, it’s when will the next crash be due of pilot fatigue. Night freight is tough and now with the “increased productivity” which stretches the duty nights to 12 hours and 5, 6 …7 legs, some crew is just going to fall asleep and sail off until fuel exhaustion or a critical error.
