RealisticJazz and AC Hiring Hours

Post by MjetR »

Hey guys, new to this site.

As prospective career changer looking to get into piloting, I was wondering if anyone on here knows what:

1. Jazz hiring at (TT), I know it says 1500TT, but what does it take to become competitive?
2. How many years does it take to move over seats, assuming you already have your ATP

3. AC hiring to be competitive, website says 1000TT
4. How many years does it take to move over seats, assuming you already have your ATP.

Any input or advice would be great. Appreciate it guys.

ER, Wrong.

AC did.
He completed his ATPL after the interview and before the official offer.

What a great pair of companies, turning down hundreds of people with 1000's more hours and hiring guys without an friggin ATPL and Jazz hiring 19 year olds who have likely never owned a car (maybe a bicycle) to fly RJ's.

Yeah, Dad did have an ATPL though

Last class (Jazz) at the end of August all had over 2500TT, ATPL, Turbine (many with Multi Turbine PIC) and 35% had Multi Turbine over 12,500lbs.

MJetR,
Realistically at both AC and Jazz if you are coming off the street, I would say min 2500 TT and MPIC turbine some where in there would be an asset. If you happened to be in one of the approved schools you have a chance at Jazz with just 250 TT. Good luck.

One Question, What job were you doing B4 that you would like to try and be a pilot now? Because most people end up flying crap a/c for crappy companies in crappy locations for really crappy wages (1000/month) for a few years even B4 they can get back to civilization in any form. And if you have a family that really makes it hard.

But again good luck!!

Hi Adults

Please don't juge your FO (or captain) too fast. Looking 20 years old doesn't mean having 200hrs, looking a hundred years old doesn't mean having 20 000hrs. None of this means being a good pilot, or a nice guy.
